Meet the Counselor
I am Maxine Cieri, school counselor at Mt. Tabor Elementary School. I have worked in the Parsippany-Troy Hills School District for over 20 years. I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education at Kean University and my Masters Degree at Boston University. Before becoming a counselor, I was a second grade teacher in Brockton, Massachusetts and a fourth grade teacher in Newark, New Jersey. In addition to being the counselor, I am also the anti-bullying specialist, chairperson for the Intervention and Referral Committee and coordinator of 504 plans. I am dedicated to assisting the students of Mt. Tabor at reaching their highest potential socially, emotionally, and of course academically. I have been at Mt. Tabor School for twenty-two years and feel lucky that I get to work with amazing students, families, and staff each day!
I love spending time with family and friends, listening to music, and reading my favorite books!
